The HDR Facility will bring people together from various sub-disciplines, so they can help and learn from each other on matters such as data management, coding, analysis and methods development. It is conveniently located adjacent to Prof. Anthony J Brookes research group, who have extensive experience in data discovery, international standards, and links to several data science and data governance teams across the university. Users can access all of this to progress their research and their funding proposals.
The Facility offers personal workspaces within an open, friendly environment that people can utilize regularly or pop in as needed. The Facility will support staff with training, lectures, collaborative grant opportunities, and expertise/guidance on topics such as statistics, governance, IT, AI and access to primary and secondary healthcare data resources.The Facility will also organise seminars, book clubs and help people jointly bid for research funds.
