The Leicester Health Data Research Facility was officially launched on 7th July 2025, marking the beginning of a new collaborative space supporting research through training, expertise, and access to healthcare data.

Anonymous records from 30 GP practices in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, have been pooled and made available for use in ethically-approved healthcare research. To evaluate the utility of this dataset for addressing research questions, bona fide researchers can safely explore and profile this Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Data for Research (LLR-DfR) dataset, by using a dedicated online query tool or by seeking help from staff at the Leicester HDR Facility. Thereafter, researchers can seek secure access via an assisted and responsible access request process.
